Doorplate for macOS

What lands here

• One universal disk image, Apple Silicon and Intel, signed and notarized by Apple.
• A 14-day trial with everything on. After it, $7.99 once for every Mac you own; the key arrives by email.
• Names, icons, colors, shortcuts and tracked time from SpaceTags or an earlier Doorplate carry over on the first open.

Until then, the Mission Control page shows what the names look like, and the FAQ answers the usual questions.

Requirements

• macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Tested on macOS 15.6; macOS 26 Tahoe and the macOS 27 betas are checked before each release.
• Apple Silicon or Intel. One universal binary.

Coming from SpaceTags

Doorplate is the same app under its new name. The first time it opens it copies your names, icons, colors, shortcuts, tracked time and settings from the old bundle. Quit SpaceTags first, grant Doorplate Accessibility, and once you are happy, delete SpaceTags from Applications.

Uninstall

Quit Doorplate and drag it from Applications to the Trash. Your names are stored in your preferences under app.doorplate.Doorplate; delete that with the app if you want nothing left behind.
